There are a few important questions you should ask when you search for your next home. I have a lot of clients interested in relocating to Las Vegas, and these are the top questions they ask:

1. How is the neighborhood or the area? We have lots of great neighborhoods in Las Vegas. The best thing for you to do is come out, and we’ll give you a tour to find the area that best suits your family’s needs.

2. How are the public and private schools? That is a very important question that you can research on our website, HendersonRealEstate.org. Under the resources tab, you will be able to find all the top-rated schools in Las Vegas and Henderson.

3. What does the average utility bill look like? Obviously, some properties will have very high utility bills and other will have very low utility bills. Newer homes are very energy efficient while older homes are not. Still, it’s important to ask this question so that you can prepare for the monthly payments.

4. How old are the indoor and outdoor appliances? Some of those high ticket items like your air conditioner or furnace might go out, leaving you $10,000 or $20,000 in the hole. You should ask how old those appliances are to get an idea of whether or not you need to replace them. Your home inspector will also tell you how well those appliances are running.
